EDUCATING ABOUT PRESENT EDUCATION POLICIES......

The previous week, I was hospitalized because of which I couldn`t post any articles . Due to sleep inducing injections and doses I just didn’t got to know how two days had gone. But on the third day , no sedatives were prescribed. When I woke up mom had just arrived with my breakfast. Sitting besides me, with the news paper in her hand she was reading her sweet (or sometimes harsh) nostalgic memories of her teen days.

Then her house was situated near the kozhikhode Govt. medical college. She remembers that one room of the house was always booked for relatives whose closed ones would be admitted at the college. The way she had managed to study for final year exams along with making arrangements for those relatives now also remain indelibly impressed on her memory. She recollects that during those days a well planned system had developed in which it was government’s duty to provide schooling , higher education , medical treatment in well subsidized rates . Therefore no one thinked twice for where to go for these basic needs other than govt. organizations. That days for becoming an engg. Or medical student one had to be a hard worker rather than a rich guy. Deserving ones became good professionals no matter whether he\she was financially weak.
Yes , it’s a agreed fact this system developed in our country was not flawless but today , instead of some corrective actions , the rulers are perversely replacing this setup by one through which envisaging equality will be merely foolishness . The other day we heard about seven year old slumdweller boy was banged by a school bus. The poor child always dreamed of going to school and thus he used to come over there to see the school going children. Long back such a dream had given birth to legends like DR.KALAM, DR.K.R.NARAYANAN, DR. AMBEDKAR….. and today the same dreams are killing them. Now-A-Days we can find sumptuous educational institutions at every nook and corner where the sole aim is profit and thus they are of no use to the basic common people. If such is the situation India is never going to become a rich human resource pool of skilled persons but just unenlightened uneducated slaves

The irony of the situation is that instead of more funding to present infrastructure rhe govt. is thinking about a new bill which ensures cent percentage primary education which is just contradicting their present education policies

Spiderman,Batman,and………The Simple Commonman

Right from my k.g. days I’m a great fan of all the superheroes. During those days when there was no cable-TV connection I used to enjoy THE HE-MAN, SUPERMAN series aired in DD METRO CHANNEL. I’ve spent all my school summer vacation at KERALA, my native place. Though there I used to miss the DD METRO series, my uncle used to read for me the heroic acts of MAYAVI- the philanthropist magician, KAPISH- the prodigious monkey from a Malayalam children’s magazine.
Now new heroes have taken birth to pulverize the evils. We have TERMINATOR- the humanitarian machine, SPIDERMAN- the virtuous omnipotent but a simple boy next door and of course JAMES BOND- the macho man who has come fighting against terrorism. New guy has also arrived BATMAN- the patriot billionaire scion.
When the batman is protecting us from the wicked ones at IMAX- the worlds` largest dome theater; the slum dwellers at wadala (at a stone throw away distance from IMAX.) are struggling for their basic rights.
When the lashes of speedy floodwater gulped the helpless workers at ghatghar we didn’t see any spider man coming to rescue these workers- the sole bread earners of their families.
Sensational hits like Spiderman, batman has coaxingly induced in us that fighting with the corrupted devilish world is something a common man can’t do. These blockbusters are making us forget our duties as a responsible human with no magic powers. What we need is realistic fictions like Mr. &Mrs. IYER, CHANDNI BAR in which the film makers have retrieved the conditions which actually exist.
When Bush is saying no to protective measures for our mother planet, when the greedy irrationalists are dividing the nations, no spider man is going to stop these misanthropic deeds by using his cob- webs, we will not see any billionaire batman with his wonder car who will fight against these sinisters but we responsible citizens will have to come to ground to fight. Rather than waiting or any prodigy we have to become NANAS& OMPURIS to save the humanity.

GLOSSARY:-
GHATGHAR:- ghatghar accident where 15 workers lost their lives when unexpectedly floodwaters entered their underground worksites.

Mr&Mrs IYER & CHANDNI BAR:- critically acclaimed Indian films.

NANAS & OMPURIS: - nana patekar and ompuri, the Indian actors who mostly portrayed the Indian common man.

.........WINDS OF ACIDIFIED LOVE.......

Every beautiful lady on this planet attracts attention of a normal man. This is because they really deserve the attention. I am also not an exception to this earthly behaviour.Hence I simply stated in my blog that i`m intrested in girls too. But my relatives were unhappy with this boldness. For such a reaction i think they are not to blame.
Maximum Indian filmmakers have to tell only one story-HOW RAJA KO RANI MILI. This RAJA RANI flicks have made our men to take as granted that he will get each girl he likes. The indian virile society never make him to think that the concerned girl is also a person and one day when he confronts the fact that she is also a person , a demon is borned. We are oblivious of the fact even our mother, sister , daughter , wife can be this demon`s prey. He may pour acids of feud on your sister when she is eagerly waiting for the train to return to her home. He may lasciviously eat your daughter in a police chowki who has gone out simply to enquire about her future education. He may find his food in his son`s wife or sometimes he is not ready to spare even his six-year old daughter too........ and the next day an office going guy will be eagerly waiting for newspapers to tell his friends that the victim in the concerned single column news report is his neighbour.
Hence I said that my relatives are not to blame They want me to breath the air of true love and thus become a good son, brother and a true lover. They are worried that whether their son isd also among the scum who breath the air of acidified love and get transformed into an apparition.
